On our lake
We lived on a small lake, for nearly 4 years; the only people there.

Frozen-lake-winter, 1944
In winter, we'd shovel snow off the ice so we could skate, but we had to stay close to shore.

Michigan-winter
During 1943-47, we lived on a farm in the country because my parents were nervous about the war.

Me at 21
I had very long hair until I cut it at 21.

My wedding day
My mantilla came from Spain and my dress was my sister's. She let out the seams for me!
These are family photos that were scanned from tiny old prints.
